Making the most of the wintery snowfall!
!

This week, we have been embracing autumn, and we have enjoyed so many activities across the nursery together. We have had so much fun!
We have enjoyed exploring and observing the seasonal changes, how the leaves have begun to fall, and all of the beautiful colours around us. We have been exploring different textures and smells in the sensory tray, making autumn leaf pictures using paint, leaves, shape stamps, and our hands. We have created hedgehogs, conkers, trees, and unique masterpieces in the playdough, and we have spent time collecting leaves, running outdoors, and enjoying the beautiful autumn sunshine.
We have also been practicing really hard to learn our autumn songs, ready to share with you all at our Harvest Festival sing-along, and we hope you are all looking forward to it. Thank you for all of your kind donations towards our harvest collection.

Look at all of the dummies the Easter Bunny managed to collect this year! He was so happy that so many children have given them to him.
This week we looked very closely at daffodils. We then pained what we could see. We talked about the flowers shapes, colours smells and how they look different from other angles.

This week we have spent time experimenting. We used magnets to find things that were metal, looked at how colours can mix and change using the light board as well as finding things out in books. We mixed flour and added things to it to see what would happen and looked at how to join magnetic spheres and cylinders together to make new shapes.
