Every day in nursery, the Special Helper in each group chops the fruit ready for our healthy snack and most recently, there has been a huge interest in picnics during role-play activities. As part of supporting the children’s next steps to learning, the children made their very own sandwich ready for our picnic at snack time. Each child selected a filling of their choice, from either cheese or jam sandwiches. Some of us decided to make a mixture of cheese and jam! The children then carefully spread their filling from the middle to the corners of their piece of bread before folding and cutting the slice of bread in half and then into two quarters, ready for our picnic outside. We are all very excited for our end of year celebration picnic with our families!
